VOTE EARTH

YOUR LIGHT SWITCH IS YOUR VOTE

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.

TRY THINKING

It has been quite some time since I had the mood to really blog about something..To actually blog with WORDS if that's the best word to describe..Something that I want to share with all of you out there about the society you all had been living for "years"..Yeah, just my simple thoughts again, as always XP

First of all....I have these two simple equations I've created recently..

Natives + Bribe = Policeman
Teachers + Status = Prefect

Policeman gets motivated to catch innocent/not innocent people to have more "wang kopi" while prefects love bossing around because they are a step higher than the students..

It is the people that love bribing the policeman that causes so much of problem now..Even innocent people do get caught at times (just like my dad being caught once for nothing..zz)..But that is the only reason why policemen are so motivated to work 24-7! (nah, just exaggerating..Are they that hardworing? @.@)..As for prefects, it is the discipline teachers that scares them off..When prefects are scared, then they will start doing their work efficiently - pretending to sound any students around them..

Yeah, policeman reminds me a lot of being a prefect..Both have this kind of thing called "tutup satu mata" too..! Sad to admit, I am personally a prefect in my school as well..Such shame shame eh? hehe..

So is Prefect = Policeman??

There's also another thing I realized recently..People always @#&^%^%$@# about police behind their back..But the moment when they were caught..................
"Abang, sorry lah..Jangan saman boleh?" *slip in some money into their pockets and give the policemen a great big smile*

And when the moment they stepped onto the pedal trying to leave the place, the same old word & impression comes back
"You know ah, just know I was caught *toot* They got no other better *toot* work isit? *toot toot*"

And the conversation goes on.............

If you don't want them to work day and night to catch people on road, then don't bribe them..Soon enough, they will give up catching people..That's when you can start driving for more than 110km/hour on highways.. =P

Whatever it is, I believe that not ALL policeman and prefect commit the same crime - to be involved in bribes and also to ignore the mistakes people had been doing :)

CHEMISTRY INTER-RELATIONSHIP WITH LIFE

Carbon Monoxide to Commit Suicide (It rhymes, but it is a fact..You release the gas from your 'tong' and you get carbon monoxide to reduce oxygen in your brain, that's how people die =P)

Flatulence release Methane Gas The reason why people don't smoke in NewZealand..Cows do eat grass..Cellulose in plants cannot digest in living organisms like us, so we release Methane Gas through flatulence "generating gas in the alimentary canal, as food." And to those who are ignorant about this, Methane Gas is highly FLAMMABLE! You can start being a terrorist..But don't say it's me who taught you this =p)

Tanned people are Healthier (When people complain and say you're dark, be happy and glad about it..It is the sun that gave you the tanned skin - meaning your skin is able to absorb Vitamin D , a layer of your skin is trying to protect your organ from the Ultraviolet..The reason why MatSallehs have a higher risk of getting skin cancer..So girls out there, don't be proud if you're toooo fair XP..Skin is all about protection and not beauty..And guys out there, be happy that your girlfriend/wife will not die of skin cancer if she's dark..lol)

BUSY 11/12/14 FEBRUARY!

It was my mom's birthday on the 11th of February..

Off to steamboat and consumed lotsa food!

Bought her a secret recipe cake..

My money "kong" already..

But mummy, I love you as I always do :)

Thanks to grandma for delivering such a lovely mother..!

It was my chinese birthday on the 12th of February..
Mom cooked "mi sua" for me..

Well, it resembles "long life" in hokkien..

Last but not least, it was Valentine's day on the 14th of February..

This year, I had a great time..

It was a blast despite that Saturday was a schooling day..

Lied to me - telling me that we're visiting an orphanage..

Ended up bringing me to One Utama! ( I salute their acting..haha)

Whatever it is, I still love them..Thanks for the prezzies and time..They are AWESOME!

Then, I had dinner with my family..

And last but not least, spent time with a person I never thought of..

Left me with unbearable moments.. =)

Would you rather have good taste but pay a fortune for it or would you rather pay quarter of the money with bad taste of food served?

Every morning, she walks to the restaurant behind my house..She will take like 30 mins just to walk one stone's throw away distance..Sometimes, she will seek other people's help to bring her there..Due to the traffic my dad has to face every morning, he was kinda hesitate to help her out..But not that morning when my dad offered to drive her there..She came into the car and sat happily with us..

Wow, I love my daddy for the fact that he do throw temper on us for no apparent reason at times, but there's a positive trait he possesses, something that not everyone has!

That lady was grateful and thanked my parents for driving her there..I felt happy for her and it was a good start for a Saturday morning to be able to lend a hand to an old lady like her..

On the other hand, when my fellow leos and I had this voluntary work in SPCA, that lady not only did not show any gratitude towards our help, but she was scolding like nobody's business saying that we did not know how to do work, just know how to stand around only, we didn't clean the place and yada yada - when actually we were TRYING OUR BEST TO DO WHAT WE CAN! "Dont' expect us to do what you always do when you did not guide us what to do! Understand lady?"

In conclusion, some people just doesn't know how to appreciate your help..Whatever it is, I believe in Karma, I believe in cause and effect..I did my part, and I'll let God do the rest :)
